Welcome to Leaf Me to the Trees
Welcome to the first official Leaf Me to the Trees comic!
This is where curiosity, forest science, and unnecessary amounts of botanical sarcasm come together. You’ll find tree identification, woodland discoveries, questionable fieldwork, and the occasional argument about birds.
Meet Otto and Echo.
Otto is an enthusiastic tree nerd who approaches every forest discovery with a notebook, a magnifying glass, and considerably more excitement than the situation requires.
Echo is a raven. Definitely a raven. This distinction is important to him.
In their first adventure, Otto is attempting to identify a magnificent conifer specimen. Unfortunately, a certain feathered field assistant is standing directly in the way—and Otto makes one particularly unfortunate identification along the way.
Otto eventually identifies the tree as a Douglas-fir. Echo eventually receives a proper apology. Whether Echo will ever completely forgive Otto for calling him a crow remains doubtful.
This is only the beginning. Otto and Echo will be exploring forests, examining strange plants, uncovering woodland secrets, and discovering that nature is usually more complicated—and much funnier—than expected.
Thanks for joining us at the start of their adventures.
Stay curious. Be kind. Leave no trace. And please identify your ravens correctly.
